Memorial day singout

Hi ladies! This is your friendly reminder about our memorial day singout tomorrow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Refreshments start at 11:30am. Program starts at 1pm. We want to meet at 11:45 behind the stage. Please warm up on your own before coming. We are wearing our blacks (pants, shirt, socks and shoes) with red and blue cowls.  We will be singing Star Spangled banner, American Salute and Over the Rainbow. Can't wait to see everyone tomorrow :)

Hi, Ladies -  My brother-in-law is a new high counselor and is in charge of a mid-single fireside for the Nampa Region this coming Sunday evening.  It is in the building off of Middleton Road.  He called desperate needing help with the following -  An organist or pianist to play the opening and closing song, a chorister, and a special hymn musical number - any hymn.   He even was so desperate he asked if I would sing a solo.  Then he asked if any of my Musette friends would like to sing a hymn.  It could be a solo or a group.  If my daughter doesn't come into town I can help him out with part of it  - it would be fun to sing with a group.

I will ask again on Thursday but he would really like to know as soon as possible.   Thanks,   Brenda

STAR SPANGLED BANNER

Ladies,  I am unable to attach the music for "The Star Spangled Banner" to the blog but I will send you an email with the parts.  We will each need to find out from Lydia what parts she would like us to sing.

Tuesday Night Dress Rehearsal

As usual, it is mine and Tracie's mission to make Friday night a good dress rehearsal and not just a regular rehearsal.  Sooooo, I would like to make Tuesday more of a dress rehearsal than it has been in the past.

How will we do that?

  1. Be on time.  Be ready to go at 6:30.  That will leave us time to warm-up, and review our placement so we are ready to go right at 7:00.
  2. Treat it what it is, A Dress Rehearsal!  That means pretend that there is an actual audience at the church.  No talking!  (this means me, Susan and Tracie)  It's hard (I know) to to talk, but to be at our best on Saturday, it is essential to minimize talking.
  3. We will be going in order with no stopping or repeating.  If we need to work on songs, we can make a note of that and review after we have completed the entire performance.
  4. Please review all staging before we begin.  There have been one change, we will not be standing in sections for Top of the World and Under the Sea.  Please review the line-ups also before we begin.  Those will all be posted and easily accessible for everyone.
Thanks again for all of your hard work!

Props Needed

We are in need of the following "additions" to our family:
Funny Hats for Dad (cowboy, corn cob, Mickey Mouse, any pro team etc.)
Mardis Gras Garb
Beachy Stuff
Broadway Memorabilia
Red Sox (hummm, who would have that?)

Please comment what you have and bring it on Tuesday night!  Thanks!
